Magistra Rigby looks forward to joining the Hagia Sophia Classical Academy faculty this year as assistant to grades 3-5. With a lifelong love of child-development and education, she is especially fond of upper elementary learning. Her experience in education includes K-8 homeschooling, Montessori classroom teaching, and reading tutoring. Magistra Rigby is passionate about the HSCA approach of combining a classical curriculum with Charlotte Mason’s gift for meeting each child where they are in the moment. She is delighted to have the opportunity to engage with students in nurturing their inborn sense of wonder and desire for accomplishment! When she is not teaching, Magistra Rigby enjoys gardening, fine arts, crafts and traveling with her husband John.
