Magister Jensen earned a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministries from Lincoln Christian University in 1970, and a master’s degree from Lincoln Christian Seminary in theology, philosophy and Church history in 1975. He spent 7 years in youth ministry for the evangelical Christian churches, served as a priest and later the first bishop of the Indianapolis diocese of the Evangelical Orthodox Church for a total of 26 years. In 2001 he retired and joined the Catholic Church and is presently a member of St. John the Apostle Catholic Church in downtown Indianapolis, where he serves as lector and catechist. He has also recently retired after 17 years of teaching theology and epistemology at Cathedral High School in Indianapolis.
Magister Jensen has been married for over 50 years to his lovely wife, Kathy. They have 5 daughters (4 married with families and 1 in heaven), 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
