Nezhla SandersonKindergarten to Second Grade Teacher

Magistra Sanderson graduated with a Bachelor’s in Biology from Allen University in South Carolina. Interested in education, she worked as a substitute teacher for Indianapolis Public Schools, charter and township schools. Prior to working at Hagia Sophia, she held a position at Ben Davis High School as a teacher in the dynamic special needs Thrive program. It was here she discovered the love and importance of teaching the early childhood curriculum.

As Kindergarten through Second Grade teacher at HSCA, Magistra Sanderson is impressed with the Memoria Press curriculum that HSCA provides. The students acquire fluency in reading and learn solid arithmetic skills, as well as Latin. They enjoy lively studies of science, nature and cultural concepts through their books, crafts and activities. Her students have a great sense of humor and make her day, with their imaginative games and the stories they tell about their experiences.
