Magistra King is the P.E. teacher at The Hagia Sophia Classical Academy. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science from Marian University and is certified in CPR/AED. She has always had a passion for fitness and exercise from a young age. Since she was 16 years old, she has been coaching gymnastics to children from pre-k to high school. Outside of being a P.E. gymnastics coach for HSCA, she is a personal trainer and Olympic weightlifter. Magistra King has been coaching at HSCA since 2020 and has been amazed with the students ability to learn new skills. She wants to be able to get kids interested in fitness at a young age so they can continue to live a healthy active life in Christ.
Magister King coaches gymnastics at HSCA and has a holistic approach to athletic development. The principles of exercise science are second nature to him and he is NASM, PARISI, and CPR/AED certified. He has multiple national level achievements in Olympic weightlifting and is currently a speed and agility coach for adolescents. At HSCA, instructing the kids in physical education is often the highlight of his day and he aims to make that the case for the kids as well.
